However, when he created a new domain and set-up a self-hosted version of Wordpress at http://www.business-powerpack.com, he discovered that his audience collapsed from a high of over 1,500 unique visits a day to under 50.

Symcox said, "Moving from blogger to Wordpress was a good decision, but made too late." When asked if he expected the blog rating to recover Symcox said, "I have no doubt that with good content, linking and other Search Engine Optimization strategies I'll be back up on page 1 of Google. For the moment I've got to take the hit and just keep going."
