Media Advisory: Make Art Public's New Photo Exhibition in the Subway and Bus Shelters From St-John's to Vancouver

MONTREAL, QUEBEC- Mouvement Art Public / Make Art Public (MAP) is pleased to invite you to the launch of its new Mouvements Mecaniques / Try Harder photo exhibition, at Societe des arts technologiques (1195, boul. St-Laurent, Montreal), at 5 h 45 pm. The joint exhibition brings together 47 works, by 14 international different artists : Edward Burtynsky (Ontario), Julia Fullerton-Batten (Royaume-Uni), Jason & Carlos Sanchez, Isabelle Hayeur, (t Quebec), Thomas Brodin (France), Cao Fei , Yang Yi (Chine), JeongMee Yoon (Coree), Loan Nguyen (Suisse), Daniela Edburd, Dulce Pinzon (Mexique), Cory Arnold, Misty Keasler, Rayn Shude (Etats-Unis).

The exhibition will continue through to December 31st in a corridor of Montreal's Square-Victoria subway station, on downtown bus shelters and Inside Montreal buses. Mouvements Mecaniques / Try Harder will also be extended oto 100 bus shelters through the land, from St-John's to Vancouver. Total distribution equates to some 38 millions impressions for the general public viewing(i).

Pursuing its mission of growing public awareness for the visual arts of today, MAP exhibits contemporary Works on CBS outdoors billboards. Mouvements Mecaniques / Try Harder is MAP's third exhibition. Founded in 2006 by artist Manuel Bujold, and by ex-architect Claude Marrie, later joined by the founder of Contact Image photo lab, MAP is dedicated to cultural promotion. " Our goal is to provide the maximum visibility for creative people ", says Manuel Bujold. MAP uses the very same means as does mass advertising to pursue its mission of intergrating art in public spaces and in daily life.
