Seventh Annual Chimaeracon

    MaiMai News - SAN ANTONIO, TX, February 11, 2008 - ChimaeraCon 2008, South Texas Gaming & More Fest, March 14-16, 2008, Crossroads Convention Center, 4522 Fredericksburg Rd, San Antonio, TX 78201. Three days of game, anime and science fiction/fantasy events, planned and presented by local volunteers. Sponsored in part by Knight Time Games and Hobbies, College Station.

Pre-registration prices: Weekend Pass $20, includes goody bag. NEW: Family Weekend Pass $ 50.00 for a family of four (at least one of the four must be adult); $15.00 for military/students with ID (no ID needed for elementary students).

Prices at the door: Weekend Pass $25; Family Pass $60; Student/Military $20; Day Passes Friday $8, Saturday $15, Sunday $10. No charge for children under 5 years.

Game genres: Card-collectible, tabletop, miniatures, scale, board, electronic, role-playing, live-action role-playing. Updated registered-events list at http://www.chimaeracon.com/eventsimple.php.

Guests: Chimaeracon debut of actor (and childhood Texan) Marc Singer (http://www.marc-singer.com) and, Saturday only, local scifi illustrator John Picacio (http://www.johnpicacio.com/). Friday Night Movie! Question/answer session with Marc Singer before screening his 1982 film, THE BEASTMASTER! Friday, 7 PM, at Santikos' Bijou @ Crossroads. $10/person, limited seating, purchase tickets in advance through http://www.chimaeracon.com. (Not included in con admission. Not available through the Bijou.)

12 Labors of Gaming! Players challenged to participate in 12 con events. Great prizes for those who complete the most "labors" over the con weekend!
