NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., May 15 // -- Queercents (http://www.queercents.com) personal finance blog serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, announced today the launch of its new Professional Directory. The directory will connect LGBT and LGBT-friendly professionals with financially savvy LGBT consumers. What sets the Queercents Directory apart from other web listings is that customers see a business's information and can also view an extended profile and get to know the person through their articles and blog posts published on the site.
The Queercents Professional Directory is available at http://blogs.queercents.com/
Andrea and Ron Rennick designed the web layout for the Queercents Professional Directory using WordPress MU, the multi-blog version of WordPress. "Each directory listing is actually a separate blog on the system," says Andrea. "The profile area showing in each listing was custom-built specifically for Queercents so that the theme and look of the site was fully integrated."
Andrea is really excited about the results. "I believe this is the first WPMU implementation like this. So many people see the software and think 'blog farm,' but it can be so much more with the right customizations."
