Educational Consultant To Produce On-Line Talk Radio Show For 45th Learning Disabilities Association (LDA) International Conference

    MaiMai News - PORT TOWNSEND, WA, February 27, 2008 - Melinda Pongrey, MSEd, SISIUTL Center for Learning, will produce a daily on-line talk show, LD Live!, from her Port Townsend downtown office during the 45th Learning Disabilities Association (LDA) International Conference February 27 - March 1, 2008 in Chicago, IL.

For the first time, individuals worldwide will have the opportunity to listen and participate in live informational broadcasts through the LDA website: http://www.ldaamerica.org

Over the past two weeks, Melinda has interviewed conference organizers, association board members as well as experts in the field of learning disabilities. Three hours of live show recordings are now published as podcasts on her blog, LD Live!: http://ldlive.blogspot.com

During the four day event, Cyd Imel, Executive Director of the Learning Disabilities Association of Washington, will join Melinda via phone from her office in Seattle to interview Chicago conference attendees. Cyd is a leader in the field of learning disabilities, social justice and has authored three nationally recognized curriculums on social skills development for LD/ADHD adolescent and adults. http://www.ldawa.org

On Tuesday, February 26 at 9am (PST) members of the media are invited to attend a special show with Melinda and conference organizers. Immediately after the exclusive press preview show, journalists are welcome to participate in an interview session with a conference keynote speaker.

About Melinda Pongrey
Melinda Pongrey established SISIUTL in 1997 after working for ANOTHER DOOR TO LEARNING in Tacoma, Washington. For the past fifteen years she has successfully worked with children and adults who experience many types of learning differences, including dyslexia's, ADHD, NLD, language delays, motor-spatial and visual-spatial difficulties. Additionally, Melinda presents interactive workshops and classes for parents and teachers. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Evergreen State College, Master's of Science in Education from Old Dominion University, and holds a Washington State Teacher's Certificate.
