Washington Woman Practices EFT to Help People Recover from Emotional Roots of their Physical Pains or PhobiasSometimes called the One Minute Wonder

SPOKANE, WA, February 17, 2009 MaiMai News -- Within only the past dozen years or so, people have started to acknowledge that emotions can control much of our daily liveseven if we remain unaware of their impact.

For Cia Watson, EFT Practitioner, helping people discover and then reduce or eliminate their emotional baggage is actually a higher calling. Operating on the belief that there is a link between the emotional and spiritual, she speaks with people via the phone to help get to the emotional roots of a variety of issues that may be hindering them in their lives.

Ms. Watson uses a technique called EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) to effectively free a person from whatever binds them to their unwanted emotional pain.

What is EFT?

Gary Craig, the Stanford-trained engineer who developed EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques ) explains that "EFT is a do-it-yourself acupressure technique that anybody can use to halt depression, anxiety, anger and fear. It involves fingertip tapping on select acupressure points while focusing on the problem in question. This adaptation of acupressure claims an 80% success rate in calming the body and mind's response to trauma." It can be learned freely by downloading the EFT Manual at http://www.emofree.com/downloadeftmanual.asp

"Although using EFT sometimes results in what is commonly called a 'One minute wonder,' getting to the root of one's issues sometimes require more in-depth sessions with a practitioner" said Ms. Watson.

Since she conducts sessions by phone, she works with people from anywhere in the US or Canada.

Session Structure:

The EFT Session starts with a phone call and Watson will ask questions to discover where there may be core issues or beliefs behind the negative emotions, and then begins to instruct the client to tap or rub (gently but firmly) on the EFT 'tapping points'

"You do this while you are thinking about whatever the issue or past occurrence may be that brings about the negative emotion, or feeling," Watson said. "Sometimes all you will have access to is the negative emotion or feeling, and tapping on that may bring to mind a specific incident. Having a specific incident in mind isn't required, though it is generally the fastest way to get to the root of an issue. The goal is to make it as painless as possible, on the way to finding relief."
