MaiMai News - SAN FRANCISCO, CA, September 19, 2008 - The housing industry has a new blog, The Automation Advocate (automationadvocate.blogspot.com).
Billed as a commentary on plant-based homebuilding, The Automation Advocate regularly observes issues impacting the housing industry and the emergence of plant-based homebuilding.
Launched on August 26, the blog's editor, Aaron Grizzell stated, "with the pace of change and technological advancement, the paradigm in housing is shifting in real-time. The Automation Advocate provides commentary on important changes and on issues that affect housing from the perspective of plant-based construction and its inherent qualities."
Grizzell is a chief evangelist for advancing controlled-environment homebuilding and maximizing technology, sustainability, and automation in the homebuilding process. He works with plant-based homebuilder, UBS Manufacturing. According to Grizzell, the goal of the blog is to "help stimulate much needed dialogue about changing methodologies, sustainability, quality, and overall policy in housing and construction."
To complement The Automation Advocate, a Twitter channel was launched. Twitter is a blog system that allows for on-the-fly commentaries limited to 140 characters and viewable online or via wireless communication device. Said Grizzell, "Twitter is a great way to quickly comment on breaking issues, while allowing for multiple viewing capability. It's also a great challenge to the writer."
Though he works with a plant-based builder, Grizzell's chief aim with the blog is to ensure an independent look at the entire housing system and not solely plant-based housing. About the UBS Manufacturing, Grizzell stated that "the company celebrates the diversity of views and independent perspectives from its management, which I think is refreshing."
