Recovery From Pet Loss Workshop

CLATSKANIE, OR, March 12, 2009 MaiMai News -- Dr. Cynthia Juday, DVM, is a holistic veterinarian and has taught groups of people who are dealing with grief from loss, particularly that of pets. She will soon be offering another healing weekend, open to anyone who may feel the need to have guided help in dealing with their grief from loss of a beloved pet.

The next workshop, being conducted by Dr. Juday, will be held from June 12 through 14, 2009 at her ranch, Angel's Rest, in Clatskanie Oregon, about one-and-one half hours drive north and west of Portland. (http://angels-rest.blogspot.com/)

What if you could heal the pain of loss and transform your life through a word, a sound, a feeling, a movement, a color?

This is the question posed by Cynthia Juday, as she formulates her teaching for healing from grief.

There are many kinds of grief and a variety of methods being taught for dealing with one's own personal reason(s) for grieving. The methods Dr. Juday utilizes are unique, combining several forms into a holistic approach for empowering oneself to come through their grief and out the other side.

Dr. Juday promises an uplifting, transformative weekend experience that can empower the individual participant by working through the pain from loss of a pet. During this 3-day workshop, participants will learn how to process their grief and transform their lives within a positive, supportive atmosphere.

If you feel, or someone you know is, "stuck" in sadness or stress yet don't know how to escape from it; still grieve the loss of your pet; wish you could feel better but don't know how; or feel uncomfortable in support groups where you talk about your feelings, the Recovery from Pet Loss Workshop can be the solution.

Dr. Juday's workshop is different from other types of grief recovery programs because, first, it is taught by a holistic veterinarian. Additionally, she uses expressive arts to enhance inner vision and healing; uses both private introspection and group dynamics; provides tools for continued healing after the workshop; establishes a safe environment for personal processing; and provides a positive pathway for personal transformation.

The Recovery from Pet Loss Workshop combines cutting edge expressive art modalities with work in grief recovery. Use of expressive arts such as creative writing, visual arts, music, movement and collage plus personal interpretation allows the process to be experienced most fully.

The emphasis of the workshop is to assist the attendee in learning about themselves, their coping mechanisms, life concepts and perceptions. Through expressive arts, it provides insight and healing in their grief process and recognition of how to incorporate the gift into daily life.

For those interested participants familiar with or already attending Healing Touch For Animals, the Recovery from Pet Loss Workshop qualifies as an elective course in the certification program for Healing Touch for Animals.
